The Team consists of Jo Anna Perrin and Johnny Heller – proud members of the human race. We will be adding more members to our team as Abbreviated Audio grows.
Johnny is a Chicago native who has enjoyed a successful acting and writing career. He has worked on stage, in stand up comedy clubs, television shows, commercials and, of course, as a commercial and audiobook voice over artist.
Heller’s proudest achievement is his work as an audiobook narrator and as a teacher. He has garnered over 20 Earphones Awards and was named by AudioFile Magazine as one of the top 50 voices of the 20th century. He has recorded some 500 books for children, young adult and adult listeners. He is a 2005 and 2009 Audie Award winner, a 2014 Nominee for Best Male Narrator, a double nominee in 2012, was named a Best Voice of 2008, 2009 and 2011 and a Publishers Weekly Listen Up Award Winner 2008-2013.
Heller teaches audiobook narration and commercial voice over at Backstage University, Edge Studios and at Weist Barron Studios. He is a highly sought after teacher and a private coach.
Jo Anna Perrin is an actor, photographer, writer and Head Honcho of Abbreviated Audio. She’s appeared on stage, screen, and television, and has narrated numerous audiobooks for Major publishers, Small Independent press, and American and Foreign University publishers. Her voiceover work includes commercial, documentary and ADR work.
As a portrait photographer, her photos have appeared in magazines and newspapers, online and in print, including AudioFile Magazine, the Times and the Wall Street Journal.
Her writing credits include short stories and original TV programming for children, as well as adult interactive TV, airing on Nickelodeon and HBO.
Jo is a native New Yorker and an avowed lover of chow chows.
